Talk about a busy weekend. Yesterday was the culmination of one of the busiest weekend yet. But it has been one of the best. Our house is officially dressed for the holidays, and has been dedicated and given back to the lord. Just having those two done feels like a ton of bricks lifted from my shoulders. Here are a few shots of my favorite holiday dressings throughout the house. Almost every room downstairs has at least a small touch of Christmas. Next year, I want to expand to 2, maybe 3 trees and cover the whole house.
Following the hard work of getting everything dressed, we were joined by about 30 friends and family to bless our home. My brother was unable to join us at the last minute due to illness, and DD did an excellent job of filling in for him to read the scripture. Our paster offered prayer and family and friends joined us for refreshments.
And lastly, the Youth choir at our church serenaded us with "Oh Come Let Us Adore Him", a christmas concert. They did an outstanding job. Even DS, who does not did not want to be there, did a good job.
That's it for me this weekend. I am officially pooped. Gonna curl up and read one of Debbie Macomber's christmas novels and try to pretend I can actually breathe. The kids decided to share their cold germs.
