As most of you know, my "One Little Word" for 2014 is USE. And I am proud to say that half way into the year, I am actually using my stuff. I am cooking more, and actually USING the insane amount of spices and other seasonings my pantry holds. I have purged my wardrobe down enough to be able to see what I have and I am actually wearing most of the clothes that I own. The game plan is to keep up with the purging once a year to always be able to see and wear my clothes despite my love for shopping and a good deal!
And from a crafty perspective, I finished the great clean up of the scrappy haven and can actually see and USE the product I have up there. It has been really nice to actually "kill" a few products and get to throw that packaging away!
In keeping with my OLW, I was recently named to a new design team called "Use Your Stuff". You can check us out HERE. The premise is to use your stuff to create a project based on the prompt given by the hostess design team member. A new challenge goes up each Monday, and on Sunday a highlights post goes up to showcase some of the participants. This new design team gig is right in keeping with my OLW.
Here are the first four projects that I completed for the team. I admit that I have gotten really bad in recording what I used, so I will try to fill in the gaps as best I can.
This is the layout that I created for my first challenge on the site. My challenge was to use Wood Veneer or chipboard. As I noted on that challenge, I have an insane amount of wood veneer and chipboard. I am proud to say that I used veneer from 3 different collections and chipboard from 2, one of which was at least 3 years old!

These last three projects are items that I created in response to others challenges.
