This weeks Color Challenge at MFP Speedy TV is Yellow, Green and Brown. My heart sorta fell when I saw the color combo for this week. These are not colors that I use too often. I struggled to come up with a project to make for it. I finally went back to my scrappy "roots" so to speak and drew from all that represents my personal style.
I went back to the things that define my scrappy style. I like layers, clusters, strong design concepts. I also prefer the muted tones of colors rather than the truer hues. I looked in my stash and pulled out muted greens, muted yellows and muted browns. I mixed in some embellishments from a number of difference collections, and started mixing things around. After all that, I really like what I ended up with.
Supplies: Cardstock-Prism; Patterned paper-Teresa Collins and Crate Paper; Washi tape-recollection, studio Calico and Tim Holtz; Ephemera-Jillibean Soup; Veneer-Studio Calico and Creatology; Stamp-Fantastic Dogs.
