I did not know that hospitals had WIFI these days. Tells you how long it's been since I have had to sit with anyone at a hospital. But, here I sit (or rather run between floors). My parents were involved in an accident and both were admitted to the hospital yesterday. One is in ICU and the other in a regular room. I have been going back and forth. Both will be fine and may get to go home tomorrow.
So, since I have some time on my hands, here are a couple of layouts I did for a review of Lisa Sanford's new book called Ethic Scrapbooking over at Scrapfriends. Lisa's book was very good and really made you think about how you can incorporate cultural awareness in your scrapbooking. Here are my layouts, but be sure to read the reviews and layouts by all of the DT participants.
The journaling on the Griot one is a little tough to read, so I am attaching posting it by itself. Doing this layout really made me think about why I scrapbook, and how I connect with my ancestors. It is something that I want my children to be aware of, so I made sure to journal about it (even though journaling is not one of my favorite parts of layout creation.)
Thanks for stopping by. If you get a chance, be sure to check out Lisa and her new book. It is well worth the read.

I sure hope your parents are doing well. My life has been crazy lately, too so this is the first time I've read blogs in a while.

I am glad to hear your parents are recovering well. I sent you an email before I read this to check on you. Please take care of YOU while "taking care" of your folks. Glad to hear they will get to go home soon. I am sure you are VERY relieved!!
