Feeling Really Accomplished!

 
  

I am really feeling accomplished right now.  The christmas cards are designed and printed, stamped and addressed. That's our picture, except I ended up using a sepia version instead.  Can you believe I even managed to get DH on the pic, dressed like the rest of us and smiling. 

And, it that isn't enough, I have finished all my shopping, only a little wrapping left.  The house is decorated, the tree is up, and whenever this rain stops the outside will get it's decoration. AND, don't forget all those treat boxes.

 I am so ready for Christmas.  How many days are left!?!

 

Getting a Little Crafty Here

After a fairly long hiatus away from crafting, other than my crochet which is flight friendly, I decided to make thank you gifts for the people in my group who do my support work.  I think they turned out pretty well given the fact that I could not find red glimmer mist at any of the big box stores (do they just not carry them?). 

These were super easy to make.  The tree cut is from designer calendars cartridge, the tag from the  Base Camp cart, boxes were pre-made from the dollar tree (in the weddings section), memory mist from Hobby Lobby, glitter is spread out stickles, red bling from my stash.

I am just trying this quick compose out. I might actually do this more often. Anyway, here is a new pair of socks to share. Love these. Sooo comfy and not too hot for the gulf coast.

New Layouts

There is a new review up at Scrapfriends.  This one uses products by PK Glitz including some of their fabulous glitter and a new product of theirs called Wonder Film with lets you punch, die cut, etc all kinds of shapes to apply glitter to.  The paper is pre-sticky on both sides and goes through die cut machines beautifully.

The create title was cut from Graphically Speaking using the wonderfilm.  LOVE that new ability.  If you like die cutting, give this stuff a try.

 
 
 

Rolllll Tide!

Guess where we were Saturday night.  Freezing our butts off at the game.  It was worth it, but oh so cold.  Here are a few pics we got on both our cell phones. Can you believe I left my camera in the motorhome.  I did get shots of the tailgating before the game.  I am just too lazy to download.

New Review Up at Scrapfriends.

You know what that means, new projects to share. These took me out of my comfort zone a lot.  We reviewed wooden cut-outs and beads from Indus Trading Co.  Here are my projects.

A New Paper Company for you!

Wedding Sneaks--Janice and Shawn

So, even though I have always said I would never shoot weddings, I did last weekend.  This is Shawn and Janice.  Shawn is my brother. Here are a few sneaks for them to see.  I have 161 photos to edit, so it may be a while.  These have very little editing to them.  It helps that I learned to shoot manual mode before this.

SOCKS!!!!!!

I finally finished them.  They are soooo comfy.  At little warm for the gulf right now (it is 95 here), but this winter, they are going to be wonderful with my birks. 

 

I started these in May, completely frogged them in June and started over because I had the toe wrong.  After a few more rip outs along the way, I have two socks that actually fit my feet.  The yarn is Patons Kroy Socks Jaquard in denim on the patterned part and Patons Kroy Socks 4 ply gentry grey as the accent color.  Pattern is Berries from You Can Crochet Socks.

After working so long on these, I think I will do something easy like a purse next then use my new sock book I ordered to do another lighter weight pair later.
